Obituary of Ron Armstrong

It is with great sadness that Ron’s family announce his passing on Saturday, May 23, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family.

Ron leaves behind his true love, best friend and wife, Joan (née Lowry). He was a loving father to Cindy Armstrong, Chris Armstrong  (Shelley) and Billy Armstrong (Sarah) and the best step dad in the world to Allan Giles (Trudy Wright), Cynthia  Giles Nichols (Steve O’Keefe) and Brian Giles (Kristy). His grandchildren, Ben, Josie, Taylor, Brett, Marcie, Murray, Alyson, Erin, Haley and Warner will love and miss him forever. Ron was the oldest son of Edna Armstrong (née Bourk) and the late Gordon Armstrong. He will be missed by his brother Eric Armstrong (the late Judy) and is predeceased by his brother Stanley Armstrong.  He was a dear uncle to Tracy, Casey, Ian and Shawn and a special brother in law to Velma Guthrie (Bill).

Many thanks to Ron and Joan’s friends, family and neighbours for all of your support and prayers over these past months. Your kindness has been truly appreciated.

Friends are invited to visit Ron’s family on Wednesday, May 27^th from 2 to 5 p.m. at St. Peter’s United Church, Tatlock (5504 Tatlock Road), A Memorial Service to celebrate Ron’s life  will take place on Thursday, May 28^th at 11am  at the  Almonte United Church, 106 Elgin Street, Almonte.
