WEGLO, Kathleen Mary "Kaye"(nee Morton)

1931-2021

Passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Adolph Edwind "Ed". Loving mother of David (Alana), Kathleen (Marianne Turner) Sharon (Greg Squires), Wendy (Grant Dalton), and late Donald Bruce. Proud grandmother to Adrian, and late Nicole.  Predeceased by her brother Herbert Harold and sister Mary Olive. Further survived and will be missed by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Born in Ottawa, Kaye grew up in the Glebe, attending Glebe High School.While working at Metropolitan Life in downtown Ottawa, she met her husband of 63 years and moved shortly after to the Alta Vista area.

Kaye will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother. Known for her love of word games, baking, gardening, fondness of swimming, badminton, and dogs. Celebrated for her extraordinary volunteer efforts at Emmanuel United Church, the Heron Emergency Food Centre and the Order of the Eastern Star.

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.
