Obituary of Ronald Jimmy Malcolm Lassenba

Ronald Jimmy Malcolm Lassenba, 84 years, of Nepean Ontario, peacefully passed away at home with his wife by his side on May 9, 2021.

Ronald was born in Sawyerville, Quebec to Jimmy Lassenba and Dehlia Robichaud on December 1, 1936.  Ronald worked with Canada Mortgage and Housing for 33 years. Ronald was an organist and choir director at St. John the Divine for 30 years.  He also volunteered with the Ottawa Police Services in their community department for 10 years.  Ronald enjoyed swimming, kayaking, playing the piano, as well as summers spent in Vermont and White Lake and winters in Florida. 

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Lois Lassenba (Firobin) of Nepean. Loving father of Jeff Lassenba (Val), and Lori McFarlane (Steve), and Mark Lassenba (Kristi).  Cherished poppie to Hunter McFarlane, poppa to Brayden and Landon Lassenba.  Uncle to Brian, Billy, Blair, Shelley (Lassenba) and Brenda Schoenermarck. Ron is preceded in death by his daughter Lynn Lassenba, brother Herbert Lassenba (Rena).

A private graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Silverthorne and Reverend Margo Whittaker officiating.
