Obituary of Francis "Frank" Brownlee
Frank peacefully joined the love of his life, Muriel, when he passed away at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on January 29, 2022, at the age of 95.
He leaves behind loving daughters, Faye Moore (Rick), Elaine Price (Ron) and his loving son Ken Brownlee (Debbie). Predeceased by his cherished wife, Muriel of 64 years, his two sons Wayne and Gary, and his grandson, Jeffrey. He was the proud grandfather of Kimb, Kelsey, Cassandra and Cole and his great grandson, Elliott. Of his 7 siblings, he is survived by his sister, Kay Villa Michel, and brother Allen Brownlee.
It is a comfort to know that he is reunited with family he loved so much. Frank always worked very hard to provide a good home. He was employed at E. B. Eddy Pulp and Paper Mill for over 40 years and was eager to retire so he could work on his farm which was his passion. He grew an amazing vegetable garden for years, which he kindly shared with family and friends. Frank and Muriel were known for their enjoyment of euchre games, sometimes lasting until the rooster crowed. Their door was always open to friends to drop by for a visit and a meal.
He had a special fondness for his Chihuahua puppies, which he enjoyed for years and the last one, Chico, was his constant companion after selling the Farm and moving into Lynwood Retirement Home. Frank’s love for what he cared about was deep and will live on forever.
A private service will be held to celebrate a life well lived….a rest well deserved. Those wishing to join the service virtually at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 Service Link
Family would like to give thanks to Lynwood Retirement Home and Stillwater Creek Home for the comforts they provided during his stay, and special thanks to the ACE Unit of the Queensway Carleton Hospital for the kindness and compassion shown during his last days.
