Obituary of Walter Gerus

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at age 91 years. Beloved husband of Judy. Loving father of Darrell (Trina Mawer), Mike (Heather) and Barry (Vera). Proud grandfather of Tristan, Taylor, Lindsay (Robert), Alana, Amy, Jody and Stuart. Proud great grandfather of Maximus and Mia.

Wally was a Draftsman for Ottawa-Carleton Regional Government/City of Ottawa. He was a Board Member for the Ottawa R.A. Centre 2010-2021, Director of Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club, Chair of the Jr. ODBA Program and Tournament Director 2009 Canadian Masters Badminton National Championships. He was an avid badminton and tennis player, hockey and baseball coach and an enthusiastic R.C. pilot.

A private family service was held. Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.  If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Ottawa.
