Obituary of Viola Campbell
It is with great sadness that we announce that Viola passed away on April 25, 2022, at the Granite Ridge home in Ottawa, Ontario after a short battle with ALS. She will be missed by her four children: Judy, Glenn, Donna, (Bruce), and Barb (Rob) of Ottawa, ON. Also, her smile will be missed by her surviving grandchildren Carly, Dylan, Dane, Corey, and Austin, and her great grandchildren Bailey and Aiden. Surviving Viola is her brother John Butterworth (Jo-Anne) from Ottawa, Ontario.
Her life was filled with joy as she raised her four children and enjoyed many years smiling and chatting with friends. She was a member of the Anglican Church for 40 years. She was looked upon by others as kind, loving, and willing to share whatever she had. Her belief was strong and she lived her life with the motto, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind and forgiving!”
Viola’s family and long-time friends will always remember her easy-going nature, her love for her family, and the sparkle in her eye whenever she found a teapot and little hearts that lay on the bottom after making her tea. We believe she will spend a great deal of time sitting under a tree having tea with our dad and her friends in heaven.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata, Ontario at 2:00 p.m. followed by a small celebration of life at the church. In lieu of flowers, a gift in memory of Viola can be sent to the Granite Ridge Care Community or the ALS Society. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.colefuneralservices.com
