Our sincerest condolences to you, Moose, to Susie’s sisters [especially Sylvia (Howard) and Liliane], and to Jenny & Steve. Moose: you & I have known each other for a long, long time. Unfortunately, we have always resided at considerable distances from each other and, for that reason, Lise & I didn’t have the opportunity to get to know Susie as well as we would have liked. But on the relatively few occasions that we shared time with you both, we always found Susie to be fun to be with. She had a great sense of humour, an inquiring mind, and was always refreshingly candid with her point of view. Adjusting to life going forward without her will undoubtedly pose a huge challenge for you as, over the years, I have grown to realize how much she fulfilled your life.
May she rest in peace.

Sue worked for my Father-in-Law at Consumer and Corporate Affairs: something we discovered within a week or so of working together at DFO because Sue was always interested in people. She wanted to know who you were and what you did and what you were interested in. I remember her for many things but probably the « sweetest » was when she brought something she had baked into the office, which she did frequently. I especially recall Queen Elizabeth Cake. I never knew such a cake existed, let alone that it was a thing but it sure was tasty! The last time I saw Sue was at the DFO Retirees luncheon and Sue was holding court as usual. I know that Brian and Jenny and Steve have many, many more happy memories of Sue. My sincere condolences to you all!

Susie was blessed with a dedicated, caring husband for 53 years and the love of his life. He was there for Susie every step of her journey in life. Susie was also blessed with a wonderful loving daughter Jenny and Son-in-law Steve.
Brian and Jenny, I have been extremely fortunate to have many cherished memories and love from the day Susie was born, and I will hold her in my heart forever.
My heart and thoughts are sad and hope in time it will heal all sadness with cherished memories and love that will ease the way through.
Susie was courageous, brave and optimistic even through the bad times throughout her cancer and was a great shock to end so fast.
Susie will always be my shining star, so on a starry night I know she be shining down on us.
My love and sympathy Brian, Jenny and Steve

My Susie Mou - I am heart broken that you are no longer here with me. I will miss our weekly telephone calls, and the laughs and tears we had working at DFO together and after we both retired. You were my rock on so many occasions I've lost count and I was yours whenever you needed me. I have considered it a great honor to have been your friend and be part of your life. Our 30 year friendship is only over on this earthly plane but will continue forever in your new home of heaven. No words can really express how deep the hurt goes but know that you will always be in my heart. I will never forget your love, kindness, strength and cooking/baking. You are now in the arms of Our Dear Lord, and he will take good care of you.
To Brian, Jenny, Steve and all the siblings, my heartfelt sorrow for your loss of an extraordinary human being. Take comfort in knowing that you have the best angel watching over you.
Susie Mou, I will never forget you - I Love you.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue for a few years at DFO. She frequently had mischief in her eyes and laughter in her voice. She was a joyful person who never hesitated to share her love for her family and in particular her passion for her husband (blushing now). A force to be reckoned with, she will be missed.

Susie, Susie; I am so lost.
I could never express what I was truly feeling but I am sure Susie knew me well enough.
She could always put a smile on your face without even trying. We shared many good times over the years.
She was truly one of the bravest persons I knew. I only wish I had her strength.
She had gone through more in her life time than I can imagine. Many times her thoughts were to give up, but she just kept pushing through very trying and dark times. She battled all these obstacles right to the end, she never gave up. This was also possible because Brian was there every step of the way.Brian, Jen and Steve my thoughts are with you.
Growing up we never quite knew how to express our feelings for one another as it just was there but not spoken. I will never get to tell her these words I LOVE YOU. SHE WILL NEVER HEAR THEM. I WILL TRULY MISS HER ALWAYS.
SUSIE GOD HAS YOU IN HIS KEEPING SO I IF YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN I LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS CARRY YOU WITH ME.
WITH A HEAVY HEART
MY SISTER, MY FRIEND REST IN PEACE.
Love
Sylvia...

Brian and Susie were married the same year as Sylvia and I.
