Obituary of John Skrobek

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Skrobek on April 15, 2023, in Ottawa.  John, 59, passed away at home surrounded by his family after a long illness. 

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Alicja (Anna) Skrobek, devoted children Matthew (Sarah) Serena (Giovanni) and Isabella (Mike) and three beautiful granddaughters: Nora, Agnes, and Amelia.  Son of Stanislaw and Helena Skrobek.  John also leaves behind his siblings Mark Skrobek and Elizabeth (Mark Diotte) and many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Europe who were all very close to his heart. 

Friends are invited to Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 7-9pm.  A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Hyacinth’s Roman Catholic Parish on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11am. Private family internment.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in John’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Neuroscience research.
