I had the pleasure of working with Megan for around 3 years. Megan was such a beautifully mischievous soul. There were some days I swear I wore more of her food than she ate, unless it was her very favorite things to eat like chocolate mouse/pudding of course.
She sure did love giving us a run for our money some days lol, like when attempting to talk to her and she would pull her cochlear off or turn her head to avoid you and you couldn't help but say "Meggy I know you heard me, keep that on silly" and she would burst out laughing.
She loved walking, bike rides, her ball, playing piano and simply sitting next to you and in some cases on top of you lol. She was never shy about grabbing your hand, taking 1 finger and rubbing your nail against her palm. Her laughter could light up a room and she always had the most perfect timing to get everyone laughing. If you fell, stubbed a toe, choked on your lunch or the atmosphere just felt a little heavy, she knew how to get the crowd laughing at the perfect times.
Megan took such pleasure and joy out of the simple things in life and it certainly was contagious. Matter of fact, that is one of the things in life she taught those around her; how to enjoy the little but valuable things in life and how to slow down and be with her in the moment. She didn't give you much of a choice in that regard sometimes. If you came up to her to say hello, you would be staying with her for a while, she would make sure of it by pulling you down to sit or she brought you in for an embrace and you were NOT to let go first. She would be the one to tell YOU when she was finished hugging. We were all more then willing to oblige of course because Megan always gave the very best hugs.
The family taught us what advocacy, determination, devotion and love can do. They are the setting example of all of those things and more. My heart is truly with them as they navigate through this difficult time.
You are loved by many, will be missed by many, but also never forgotten by many either. Megan, you touched the people you met and left a lasting impression. We carry you in our hearts Meg.
Your Intervenor.

Many of my favourite memories were shared with Meg. She was a wild one - always laughing, clapping and getting into trouble. We, as young woman, had a hoot enjoying our time going shopping, on long car rides, going on walks, to the movies or arcades or lounging out at the beach. My favourite memory of Meg was going for a drive with the windows down, bass of the music was always blaring. Meg had her head back, laughing her butt off- she was having a blast. She loved when I put the bass up and blared the music. When we got off the highway, I turned down the music so as to tone down the rowdy teenager look. Meg was so annoyed with me, she grabbed my Garmin GPS and held it out the window at the stop light. I guess this was what I deserved for turning down the music when the party girl was having a good time! She proceeded to chuck the GPS, while shrieking with laughter and banging the side of my car door as I frantically went to go get the Garmin GPS off the road. Meg was a great friend to many and inspired my life tremendously. I'm thinking of you all and so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful, fierce and fun soul. Rest in peace, Ms. Megan. I know you're stirring up trouble and spreading laughter to all in your next adventure.
