Obituary of Sally Jo Ann Tindale

Our dear Sally passed away suddenly at home June 19th, 2023. Beloved wife of Vince Tindale. Cherished mother of Jennifer (Ben Ovington). Fun-loving Gran of twins Aubrey and Owen. Very proud sister of John Dehler (Sally). Much loved daughter of the late Sally and John Dehler. Special niece of the late Margaret Laws and Joan Matheson (England). 

Sally met her British “Geordie” Vince while visiting family in England in the summer of 1966, followed by marriage in 1972. They enjoyed travelling abroad and in Canada with their best bud Jennifer. Favourite places included France, Bermuda and Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont. 

Sally was dedicated to a life of health and fitness. She was a creative and passionate gardiner and her love of beauty was reflected in her colourful gardens. She was a respected 30 year teacher of French at Ridgemont High School, and energized her students by providing many opportunities to learn and participate. She was also a wonderful caring daughter and companion to her mother throughout her life. Aubrey and Owen also had a special place. She proudly attended many of their activities and bragged about their accomplishments. Sally will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her youthful spirit and kindness.

Friends are invited to Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road on Tuesday June 27, 2023, from 5-8pm. According to her wishes there will be a private interment service at Pinecrest Cemetery.
