Obituary of Patrick O'Brien
It is with heavy hearts the family announce his passing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 68. Privately, Pat loved and was incredibly proud of his sons Sean and Dean (Hiba Khawaja) and grandson Kai. Lovingly remembered by his sister Sharon Geick (Peter) and brother Red (Redmond) O'Brien. A special buddy to brother-in-law Peter Geick.
Dear Uncle to his nieces Jennifer Pearen (Blair) and Cate O'Brien, Great Uncle to Cole and Evelyn Pearen. Fondly remembered by his extended family Les and Doug Campbell and life-long friends Carm Deleo and Wayne Crabtree. Predeceased by his parents Red (Redmond) O'Brien (1982) and Jan O'Brien (nee Rejanne Renaud) (2005)
A dedicated and skilled tradesman, Pat was a Welder/Formsetter for 38 years with the Labourer's International Union of North America, (LIUNA), Local 527, retiring in 2019.
Pat lived life on his own terms. A private individual whose carefree spirit and whimsical sense of humour will be remembered and treasured by those who loved and cared for Pat.
In honouring Pat's final wishes, a Private Family Inurnment Our Lady of the Visitation Church parish cemetery, South Gloucester, Ontario will take place.
