Obituary of Robert Wilfrid Gervais

Bob  passed away peacefully October 16, 2023 in Ottawa, ON at the age of 69, surrounded by loved ones.

During his 36 year career as a Drafter at DRDC, Bob participated in several missions to remote locations across Canada, and was an ardent participant in workplace activities and sports teams. 

Bob was an enthusiastic Father,  Grandfather, and pet owner. He and his dog Trigger will be missed dearly by their early morning friends at their local dog park, Bruce Pit. 

Bob was an avid athlete, outdoorsman, and handyman. He was an unwavering supporter of friends and family in all of their endeavours. Bob was always there to lend a helping hand, and brought joy to those he touched with his presence. Above all, Bob will be remembered for his kindness, sincerity, and strength of character. 

Robert was born to Leo and Fernande (Dagenais) Gervais of Ottawa on February 10th, 1954. Robert was predeceased by his wife Deborah Gervais. He is survived by his son Nicolas Gervais (Marie-Claude Reeves), daughter Selina Gervais (Derek Kelly), brother Marcel Gervais, sisters Paulette Gervais and Jeanette Reiber, Grandsons Logan, Ethan, Joshua and Brayden, and God-Sons David Schumann and Sean Jackman. He is also survived by many special friends and relatives.

Private family services have been held.
