Obituary of Nicholas Robert Saloman

Nick left us suddenly and tragically on January 3, 2024 at 33 years of age. There is no measurement for how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. Beloved son for eternity of Robert Saloman and Laurel Lowry. Beloved brother and best friend of Aaron (Cate Desrochers), Justin (Alissa) and Trevor (Sonia Hatherall).  Beloved boyfriend of Lisa Leduc. He has two young nieces, Demi & Tessa, and nephew, Ethan, who he loved and will grow up knowing him through us. Beloved by all his Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Nick was blessed with many amazing friends who now grieve with his family.

Nick had a very full life in his time with us. He travelled extensively, enjoying many wonderful adventures. He was an accomplished athlete, attacking the downhill slopes in winter and surfing the waves in summer. He was a wicked card player who you played against at your peril. He built and ran a successful business – Rosedale Construction / Ottawa Drywall Guys. He had an artistic eye that always amazed us in his building visions, decorating and dress. The depths of his generosity and kindness was known to so many. Nothing made him happier than sharing good times, of which there were many, with his family and friends. Constance Bay was his special place. He put his heart and soul into his place there and loved nothing more than sharing it with his family and friends.

There will be a celebration of his life planned for early February. In lieu of flowers, please join his family in honouring Nick’s legacy by contributing to a Gofundme campaign.
