Obituary of Diane Solowy

Diane Solowy (nee Ryckman)

June 9th 1947 – 2024

Gatineau (Aylmer), Quebec

 

Diane went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2024.  She was the daughter of Dorothy McManus and Raymond Ryckman and sister to Brenda Scott.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Ernst Solowy and 3 children Kelly Martial, Sean Solowy (and wife Karen Webster), and Shannon Solowy (and husband Alain Caouette). She had 4 grandchildren: Matthew Smagghe; Kevin Smagghe, Robert Martial and Liam Martial. 

 

Diane enjoyed sharing her creative talents through her paintings and art. She enjoyed traveling, was a fan of movies and cherished family celebrations. Diane was good at starting up conversations with people and sharing her story. Every spring she would take the time to plant her favorite flowers and brighten up the neighborhood. Her home was a reflection of her creativity and filled with memories of her life.  Diane is now enjoying the best of the rest of her life.
