Sheila and I grew up together…
We studied together…we spent winter afternoons going
through the catalogs…we went to school dances…
We would listen to Burl Ives, Nl music on records…
We partied with Christine Power,Lillian, and friends, went around with Anne Dunphy and Sheila Smith…played Broomball…celebrated Christmases together…
Sheila was a lifelong friend…I am grieved at her loss…

John and Family,
We just learned of Sheila’s passing and are very saddened by this news. I have known Sheila for over 35 years. We taught together at St. Paul’s and Rennie’s River Schools, St. John’s, NL. I fondly remember her as a very kind, thoughtful, and warm lady. She was a dedicated and respected teacher. Sheila taught our children and they remember her as one of their favourites.

So sorry to hear uncle John. I'm thinking of you, Brian and Paul, the grandkids, and eveyone. Aunt Sheila let us visit every summer and she was part of the main reason I grew to love St. John's and eventually call it home. She never forgot a birthday or holiday and she made the best family dinners (sorry mom, aside from nan's dinners you know its true). I was lucky to spend a lot of holidays with her and she was always helpful and family meant a lot to her so she would always fuss to try and make it perfect. She always talked about Brian and Paul any second she had the chance. I have a lot of photos so if anyone needs them, reach out and I will send whatever I can find.
