Janet Luxton

Obituary of Janet Luxton

We are sad to announce the passing of Janet Louise Luxton (nee Whitfield) on Sunday October 20, 2024, at the age of 59. She leaves behind many family and friends, her husband John, her children Samantha and Bradley, brother Glen Whitfield and sisters Linda Whitfield and Andrea Blanchard. Predeceased by her mother Phyllis Whitfield (nee Wynn) and her father David Whitfield.

Janet adored her children tremendously and she will watch over them as they continue to grow and journey through life. In her youth, Janet was an avid softball, volleyball player and water skier.  She loved her dogs, Harley, Jade and Trigger. She loved languages and travelled to Europe to master and hone her craft professionally in the language industry. She had a beautiful soul, a very giving heart and was always the first to volunteer to help out in various fund raisers and to those who needed help. She was always in the arena to support her son or watch her daughter at dance competitions.  Janet enjoyed working with the parent associations at Sacred Heart Highschool and Guardian Angels Elementary school in Stittsville.  She loved cooking, especially making soups of all kinds and sharing her creations.  All who knew and loved her will miss her greatly.
