Deepest condolences on the loss of your wonderful mother/wife. I have so many fond memories of her beautiful singing from church and Ukrainian dancing. So shocked to hear the news. I can’t imagine what a loss this is for your family but she lives on in each of you!

I met Linda when I first joined the dragon boat team Wild Women on Water (WWOW). We were a formidable group of tough women and Linda was a veteran by the time I joined. She was one of the fun ones on the team - always with a twinkle in her eye.

My family and I will always remember your kindness, Linda. You so gracefully took care of us when we were newly arrived immigrants from Ukraine, more than twenty years ago. I had the incredible privilege of working with you under your guidance, and I learned so much.
I am grateful for so many memories: being invited to holiday celebrations with your beautiful family, whom you were always so rightfully proud of; receiving advice on house construction and dealing with contractors; learning how to plant a garden in the harsh Canadian climate; and being reminded of the importance of women driving, just to name a few. And, of course, the recipes you shared, which I will always treasure.

I was always pleasantly shocked at how pani Linda would speak with me, whether I was 10 or in my 30s. Regardless of my age or what mood I was in, she would come straight up to me and ask how I am with a genuine desire to know what I'd say and to interact further. Her radiant warmth and joie-de-vivre truly marked me and were a hallmark of the Ukrainian-Canadian community in Ottawa. Вічна її пам'ять!
