Obituary of Murray Dickson

Murray passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 13, 2023. He was the loving husband of the late Eleanor(Angus), father of Jane (Rob Lavergne), George (Lynn) and Mark (Terri), grandfather of Amanda Crupi (Antonio), Courtney White (John), Alex Dickson, Katherine Dickson (Chris), Crystal Rose Dickson. He was also the great-grandfather (GG) of Rocco, Ella, Dante, Austin, and Audrina.

 
Murray was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Porcupine Plain Saskatchewan. He moved to Galt Ontario where he went to highschool. He started his career in 1947 with the Underwood typewriter company (Olivetti) where he worked for his entire career. Underwood moved him back and forth across Canada from Toronto, to Moncton, to Thunderbay and Winnipeg, to Halifax, to Cornwall, finally ending up in Ottawa where he was an account executive servicing the federal government.

 
When he was not fulfilling his travel bug he liked to curl, golf, hunt and fish. He and Eleanor spent  summers on their island on Lake Temagami and winters in Stittsville where they moved after retiring from work.  

He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and the many good friends he made over the years.
